Pottery by Laura B.
Showcasing one of Taos' finest potters - Laura Brzozowski!
Are you or someone you love a cyclist/old truck/fish/music enthusiast? These mugs are a great way to personalize any gift or your own daily cup of tea! Each mug is individually thrown, trimmed, handled and hand-painted with wax to resist the translucent marshmallow white glaze revealing the rich red clay body brushwork drawings (individually painted designs appear on both sides of the mug!). Because of this handmade process, the features of each mug are slightly different and you may receive a similar mug that is not pictured but has the same design around the body, similar shape and dimensions, glaze and coloring.
Dimensions and drawings vary slightly, being approximately 3" in diameter at their base, about 3.5" tall and has about a 4" opening diameter with handle. It's the perfect size for your morning brew!
More about Laura B! For the past decade, Laura Brzozowski has been working as a sculptor and potter in Taos, New Mexico. A previous resident of Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts in Newcastle, Maine, and the Community Art Center in Lawrence, Kansas, she received her BFA in Ceramics and BS in Art Education at Penn State University. Her sculptural work has evolved over the years, recently taking on the form of solid ceramic cowgirl figures, individually hand-built from mid-range and high-fire clays. Brzozowski was recently shown in the Taos Art Festival and is exhibited at Gallery MAR in Park City Utah.
